The Short Version
Korivo does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Your training logs, diet data, body measurements, and all other information you enter into the app live exclusively on your device--unless you choose to export or share them. We have no servers, no user accounts, and no mechanism to receive your data even if we wanted it.
Information We Collect
None. Korivo is a local-first app — an iOS app plus an optional desktop companion, Korivo Studio, for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Everything you enter (workout logs, nutrition entries, body weight, measurements, and program configurations) is stored locally on your devices. If you turn on syncing, Korivo reads and writes plain files in a folder you choose and control (such as your own iCloud Drive or Dropbox) — there is no Korivo server or account in the loop. This data is:
- Never transmitted to any server operated by Korivo
- Never used for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose beyond displaying it back to you
- Never associated with any Korivo account, identity, or device identifier
- Only ever placed in cloud storage if you choose a synced folder in a third-party service (for example iCloud Drive or Dropbox), where it is governed by that provider's terms rather than ours
Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you grant permission, Korivo can read your body-weight entries from Apple Health so your weigh-ins appear in the app without re-typing them. This is optional: Korivo requests HealthKit access only when you choose to import weight from Apple Health, it requests read access to body weight only (it writes nothing back to Apple Health and reads no other Health data type), and you can decline or revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings app. Weight read from Apple Health is treated exactly like weight you type in yourself — stored locally on your device, never transmitted to any Korivo server, and never used for analytics or advertising. While it resides in Apple Health, that data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Services
Korivo does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or data brokers. The app makes no network requests during normal operation.
The App Store distribution of Korivo is subject to Apple's standard App Store terms and Apple's own privacy practices, which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
iCloud Backup
Korivo data may be backed up through Apple's iCloud systems. That is Apple infrastructure, not us. It is encrypted under Apple's systems and governed by Apple's policies. We do not have access to it. We do not want it.
Children's Privacy
Korivo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because the app collects no information from any user, this is largely moot, but we state it here for compliance purposes.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change our data practices in a material way, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Given that our current practice is to collect nothing, any change would represent a significant departure and would be communicated clearly.
